Frezza Dr., Giovanni
Giovanni is Director for Molex’s Network Connected Solutions. He is responsible for the entire system architecture, product developments and marketing of innovative solutions for IoT and smart building applications. Giovanni received the M.S. degree in Physics from the University La Sapienza of Rome, Italy, in 1998. He researched and specialized on Neural Networks and Complex Systems. After his study he spent more than 17 years in the microelectronics and semiconductor industry with different roles and functions for a large variety of products, applications and market segments.
He led the R&D team at ST Microelectronics for MEMs (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) and Sensors from the early stage of research and development to the mass production and market success. During his carrier he has been author/coauthor of several publications and patents. He was the inventor of the LGA (Land Grid Array) package that lead MEMs packaging to become cost effective, extra miniaturized and industrialized in high volumes making ST one of MEMs Market Leader with billions of MEMs produced and commercialized for consumer and industrial applications. From 2008 to 2013, he led the Americas Industrial and Power Conversion BU. He was responsible for Factory Automation, Lighting, Power Supply and Smart Grid applications. In 2014 he joint Molex Solid State Lighting BU with Connected Lighting and Industrial IoT responsibility. Since then he led the Product, System and Application development and market lunch of Molex Ethernet Based Digital building solutions with a spirit of innovation and cooperation with leading partners in Lighting, IT, Building Automation and Data Analytic.
