Walch Dr., Manuel
After his PhD graduation in chemistry in 2016 at the University of Ulm, Germany, Manuel Walch started his career as project manager R&D at the kdg opticomp GmbH. In this position, he is active in several federally funded projects in the fields of µ-fluidics for lab-on-chip devices and micro-/nanostructures for optical applications. Besides project administration, his main working fields are nickel electroplating, implementation of the nickel shims into injection moulding tools, the injection moulding process itself, rapid prototype replication on flat surfaces, and analysis and interpretation of the production results. With his professional approach from a chemical point of view and knowledge in polymer materials, he is also in charge when it comes to novel applications with high and special demands on the polymer and is further more involved in customer projects with very special strategies, especially, when standard tooling technics are not applicable.
